KraftyTom began creating content on August 31st, 2014, originally under the username “KraftyCrafter69.” In 2018, they rebranded to “KraftyTom” to better reflect their evolving content—keeping “Krafty” as a nod to their beginnings and adding “Tom,” their real name, to create a more personal and professional identity.
They started on YouTube with a series titled “KraftyCrafter69 Plays Minecraft,” focusing mainly on Minecraft, with occasional Skyrim content later on. On April 4th, 2016, they moved to Twitch to pursue live streaming, beginning with Minecraft on the N3RDFUSION Skyblock server before expanding into simulation games, RPGs, and game modding.
KraftyTom has long been an active game modder, working on titles like Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Minecraft, and more recently Skyrim and other Bethesda Game Studios games.
Their first major project was a Vanilla+ Minecraft server created with childhood friends, enhancing the base game with resource packs and added features. As they began streaming on Twitch, this grew into a public server network enjoyed by over 100 players.
Skyrim introduced KraftyTom to Bethesda modding and the Creation Kit. They built large 1,000+ mod lists and created custom patches and personal mods. In late 2022, they focused on relearning the Creation Kit and applied to join Skyblivion as a Navmesher, creating AI navigation for the game world. They joined the team on March 4th, 2023, and became Navmeshing Department Lead on May 9th, 2024.
KraftyTom is a passionate car enthusiast who currently owns a 1990 Volkswagen Golf MK2 and a Ford Focus ST250 MK3.
The Golf MK2 was their first car. After four years of driving, it underwent a full restoration due to mechanical issues and rust. The interior was stripped, treated, repainted, and replaced, while the body was repaired, taken back to bare metal, and resprayed black (originally metallic light blue). Future plans include a VR6 engine swap and suspension upgrades.
Since then, KraftyTom has owned a Ford Focus MK1, a gifted Rover 25, and a Ford Focus MK3.
In 2024, they purchased the Focus ST250 MK3. Current modifications are mostly cosmetic, with performance upgrades such as an induction kit and intercooler planned.
